Storm sewer issues don't fix themselves. When water isn't moving the way it should, it puts your yard - and your property - at risk. Pooling water, soggy turf, eroded soil - these are signs something underground needs attention.
Here's what we were working with: a residential backyard with a storm sewer that needed repair. The kind of job that requires the right equipment and the right crew. We rolled in with a CAT mini excavator and an ASV RT-40 Posi-Track to get precise access without tearing up the entire lawn in the process.
That equipment combo matters more than it might seem. The mini excavator lets us dig tight, controlled openings exactly where we need them. The track loader handles material without gouging up healthy turf nearby. It's not just about getting the work done - it's about doing it without creating a bigger mess than what we started with.
Drainage excavation and trenching in a backyard setting requires a lot more care than open-field work. There are utilities to think about, existing landscaping to protect, and neighbors close by. We take all of that seriously. Getting the storm sewer working correctly means water moves away from the home the way it's supposed to - not sitting against a foundation or turning a lawn into a swamp after every rain.
When a storm sewer repair is done right, you don't have to think about it again. That's the goal every time we show up.
